1. About Before I Go

Before I Go provides personalised video storytelling services, including filmed interviews and professionally edited video messages. Our services are designed to help individuals share memories, messages, and stories in their own words.

Before I Go is an independent service operating in Australia.

2. Nature of Our Services

Before I Go offers creative and production services only.

We do not provide medical, psychological, legal, or therapeutic advice.

Our services are not intended to replace professional counselling, medical care, or legal planning.

Participation is voluntary and guided at your pace.

Clients are encouraged to seek independent professional advice where appropriate.

3. Consultations & Bookings

Initial consultations are provided to determine suitability and scope.

Bookings are confirmed once a deposit has been paid.

Recording dates are scheduled by mutual agreement.

Before I Go reserves the right to decline a booking if we believe the service may not be appropriate or safe for the individual at that time.

4. Payments & Deposits

Prices are provided as “starting from” and may vary based on scope.

A deposit is required to secure a booking.

Deposits are generally non-refundable, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Final balances (if applicable) are payable as agreed prior to delivery.

If Before I Go is unable to deliver the service for reasons within our control, any payments made will be refunded.

5. Filming & Participation

Filming typically takes place at a location agreed upon with the client.

Clients may pause, stop, or redirect the session at any time.

There is no requirement to answer all questions or follow a script.

We aim to create a respectful, calm, and supportive environment at all times.

6. Content Ownership & Usage

Clients retain ownership of their personal stories and messages.

Before I Go retains ownership of the final edited video as a creative work, unless otherwise agreed.

Videos are delivered for private personal use only.

Before I Go will not use any footage, images, or excerpts for marketing or promotional purposes without explicit written consent.

7. Editing & Creative Discretion

Editing decisions (including pacing, structure, and presentation) are made with care and professionalism.

Minor revisions may be requested within a reasonable timeframe.

Requests that materially alter the agreed scope may incur additional fees.

8. Delivery & Storage

Final videos are delivered via USB or another agreed method.

Once delivered, clients are responsible for backing up and safely storing their video.

Before I Go is not responsible for loss or damage after delivery.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Before I Go is not liable for emotional distress arising from participation in storytelling or viewing of the final video.

We are not responsible for how videos are used, shared, or interpreted by recipients.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Changes to These Terms

Before I Go may update these Terms from time to time.
The version in effect at the time of booking will apply.
